A post before I GOGO...

A quick post before I go off on vacation, not sure how much access will have to internet and blog. But will check in when and if I can.. :-) Otherwise be back 9/5/09 whoooo hooo.
I did manage to complete another layout to clear off my table.. This photo was just calling out to be scrapped, not much journaling as it's still hard, but the Title (yes this one has a title.. go figure) says it all. I love and miss my puppy every day.. :-)
DCWV paper from the Pet Stack, brads and little tag are all stash used up!! I am so on a role with using what I have. Can not wait for some of the new CHA releases, but I have so much current stash that needs love n attention too. Hoping after vacation to have a couple girls over from work who are into scrapbooking, ~ I need to enable them and let them play with my stash.. lol minus a select few choices.. hehe afterall I need to have limits right?
I am looking forward to seeing if there are any LSS I can support on my way East or the limited few in the East ( I am sooooo spoiled here in Chicago with choices of great LSS and Archiver's!)
Until next time!

I see a pattern forming.... fun times, beach, family, backyard play... whooo hooo Vacation is coming up fast and I am in the scrappn mood. I finished up another layout of my nephew Aidan today. Fun papers again ~ An WRMK Archiver's Exclusive paper ~ Endless summer... I have been wanting to use these papers since last year!~ Also found a cute Quickutz Fish to use also. Not living near the beach, I just tucked them aside.. watch out New England there will be a photographing, scrapping lunatic there very soon... Another plus I used up more stash... and my Quickutz Zelda font.. I love this font.

Aidan ~ Summer 08

Today was a relaxing day, not much else done caught up on my CK, and Scrapbooks Etc. reading, and showed my sil what needs to be done with Sparky (cockatiel) while we are traveling.. This will have a story or two out of it I am sure!!
I went to Michaels yesterday and purchased the Life is a Beach Cartridge for my Cricut... I figured this one was a NEED not a want. :-) Unfortunately It was full price.. OUCH!! but I figured I will want it in my hands when I come home with photos to scrap of Adventures Right??? Just nod yes! thank you very much for your support bloggers...
I also scored a couple items on Clearance to make Awesome Christmas gifts.. Yes my friends I make alot of my gifts and always start early..
Well my craft table is bare... hmmm should I leave that way or find something to work on? That is the question of the hour. I had my little Hummer come to the feeder today as most of the flowers he was enjoying have passed on, that made me Smile today... What did you smile about?
Until next time!

Lime Rickey again

Here is the last layout I was working on last night when my bed was calling my name.. lol I added the bling, and then decided I probably didn't need it and then added the stamps and wasn't quite sure if thats what I wanted but so be it, Loved the fun paper and bright summer colors. Love my nephew Adian, giving me the "thumbs up" lol if he only knew I think it was for the layout, not him just doing it cuz he was relaxing... Sorry bout the horrid photo, I should have waited to take it tommorow... Honestly it looks better in real life!!

Back to school time at work is worse than Christmas ~ really.. I mean how many notebooks does one child need?? And of course you have to bring the kiddos along with you to pick them out... UGH can't you just pick out a bunch of them and call it a day? Days are never long enough when you are preparing for vacation and you have tons of stuff to do but hmmm your the only one there so you can't leave to do what you need to! UGH again..
Made a very quick dinner tonight.. lol chicken pot pies.. Kerry and I both like them so pop them in the oven while watching tv or reading.. ding dinners ready!

Looking forward to vacation next week, I have not visited or seen my Dad, Sisters and families in 3 years!! OH how I miss them, I do talk to Dad weekly I definatley am a daddy's girl still!! lol and proud of it. Sigh, the trip will be made with 2 vechicles... I am driving a honkin azz Cadallic with MIL, and Kerry is got the FIL with honkin azz truck!! But good news is he gets the cat in his vechicle.. really no kiddin, MIL takes the kitty to VT cabin every time.. I say leave it at home take a real vaca... . So I got my Ipod charging, need to load up some more tunes, getting books packed and ready.. not to mention I got another battery and extra memory for camera!!! Lots of photo opps, and I will be ready.. plan on the East Coast driving up to Maine with Jennifer and sisters, I love the Maine area York, Oqunquit, Kennebunkport.. oh not to forget I need a Nubble Lighthouse shot! All those places make me SMILE with memories....

Scrap photos ~ minus Journaling :-)

Scrapping photos for Jennifer's albums can be challenging to say the least. But when I scrap photos for her of places she's been I leave Journaling up to her. Afterall it's her memories right? She should be the one documenting what she remembers or liked/disliked about things. She had sent me these cool photos of when her Dad took her to England/Scotland. I loved this photo when I saw it, and that was before I started scrapping in 1999!!! See this hobby was to be my destiny.. lol This photo is 1 rock with England on one side and Scotland on the other.. Lucky daughter has been to England twice and Scotland and I'm still dreaming of Ireland someday..

I was thrilled to use up stash for this photo!!! nothing new honest to pete... Stamping Station paper purchased last year for these pictures, Li'l Davis chipboard, random ribbon from stash, Bazzill library pockets and I stamped the journaling cards using See D's stamps.
Side 1 of Rock ~

Side 2 of rock~

All in all put this together pretty darn quick. Trying to move on to other photos while in the mood. So for today it's a Crafty Thursday for a change..
Edited**** to add another layout of my nephew Aidan.. Lime Rickey by Basic Grey, Bazzill cardstock, MM buttons (from stash, along with brads) American Crafts ribbon, and Basic Grey stamps! whooo hooo I'm excited to have 3 layouts done today.. Hope to get a couple more knocked out tonite.. who knows maybe a record for Crafty Thursday!
Until next time!

I have got to say I love how this layout came out!!! I think this is possibly my favorite one so far this month! I was working on a challenge made by Jennifer @ http://www.littleredscrapbook.com/ to use our Cricut machines this weekend.. Of course I have the Cricut and never seem to use it. It's not because I have to pull it out either, I have a great place all set up for it and everything. So I created this Flower pot using the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge, and of course remembered why I bought this machine in the first place!!! and why I collect those cartridges too. I used the LRS kit (don't remember what month) but It featured the October Afternoon papers. I used my Quickutz borders (which I will pull out more frequently than the cricut) and some Making Memories Scrapbook paint on the chipboard flowers... whoooo hoooo used up some stash. Of course I had to have a birdie too, so I hand cut this little one out.

For those of you who know me you know my dream trip is to Ireland. Kerry and I went to the brunch at the Hollywood Casino and this Pub is next door, I just love the lettering on the wall between the windows, for now this is the closest I can get to my dream.. local Irish pubs.

Oh boy today was a great bird stalking day!! I was happy to see 3 Blue Jays visit the feeders. Usually I get a token one every once in a blue moon.. but today there were 3 looked kind of younger ones so maybe I can entice them to come back again, this one came and went for awhile and I was able to sit outside and read, patiently waiting to capture him. TaDA!!

Well last night I cleaned up my scrap/craft room and cleared off my table. I did go to Hobby Lobby and purchase a couple of the ruler boxes for my border dies and they work out just fine, I got 2 colors one for Quickutz and other for Sizzix. I think I will check out another Hobby Lobby for another color to put my 4 x 8 alphas. Weather was hot humid and hotter this weekend. Summer finally came, we put the a/c on for the 2nd time... figured it was better than sweltering inside.. lol
I am getting so excited for my vacation. I can't wait to take tons of family pictures and New England mountains, beaches.. :-) I left room in a mini I was making for my mil for Christmas so I can add photos of our trip and the cabin in Vermont. I know she will love it..
Until next time!

Smile project

Today is a great day! Sun is shining, talked to my sister and niece on phone, told my niece I was coming to visit her for her birthday the end of this month.. whoooo hooo, I could "Hear her SMILE" thru the phone and that makes me smile!!! I am so excited to be visiting
family/friends I can't stop smiling.. :-)
My friend Jocelyn always posts happy lists on her blog, I like to post what makes me smile and I figured a couple updated photos on my mini to see how it's shaping up will work for todays posting.
I added to front cover ~

First journaling / photo entry ~
Next to last page ~
I saw a really cool idea posted on the Cottage Blog yesterday for storing the Quickutz border dies, she was using a ruler box that was transparent, I'm off to check it out and maybe purchase one of them. I currently store my border dies in the original packaging.. not sure if I will give it up but worth looking into. I do have the small library storage boxes for my 4 x 4 dies, but when I am looking for something I have to go through all of them, I need a better way to store them any ideas out there?? The Cottage Blog gal suggested a CD binder, not sure if thats how I want to go either.. hmmmm will have to think about this one.
Until next time!

Smile peek!

As promised I have a peek of the Smile mini project I am working on currently. I have a vision of where I want this to go so lets see if my creative karma follows me. Of course I am totally loving this paper with the Giraffes being my favorite wild animal.
Front Cover ~ so far

Inside front cover and first page~

Today forcast has T-storms this afternoon. I don't mind them but they always make me think of my dear Duchess! Oh how she hated T-storms and Lightning and Fireworks, never really understood why though. All I know is she would shiver and cry for attention trying to crawl inside you to hide.. poor baby, was frustrating and all but we just felt so bad for her. Now I know she is in a better place and not scared of them anymore... that makes me Smile....

Until next time!
